    ???

It works great! But feed it in small bowls so they don't scratch out. At least i know they are getting their nutrition now. I will use dog bowls in the future so they won't tip over. Thanks for your advise.

    ???

Thank you, i used to soak chops for my pigs, but, i never thought about soaking the crumbles/mash; that would cut down on scratch out. I had was wonder about pellets; if they did get scratch out, it's large enough to be picked up latter. Thanks Spicy for the ideas!

    ???

I feed mash in waiter tubs, to catch what scratch might be wasted flyng out. But with them soiling it they seem to turn their nose at it; then i have to sift it, and still there is feed all over the floor.

Feed efficiency is key to bang for the buck.. ISA, White legorn, Cal white; but it still won't pay. There are many pressures on feed prices now, mainly more demand, with all the urban bans lifted, as well as weather, and speculation in the futures markets. Price for chicken feed has dbld in the...

    Bad bad snake

If we rid ourselves of the snake, then the mice and rats play, which can carry disease, the plague for 1, as well as contaminating feed, and home foods. I would relocate the snake some distance from the Hen H and watch for reappearance. I leave a radio on a lot of times, when raising chicks and...

    estes hatchery springfield/mt vernon mo

My comment stands exactly as i said, and i know their policies; they would not give me credit..... I bought from estes for over 40 yrs. Do you work/related to/for them? They have changed. What amount of value do "you" put on your birds when you sell them, day old price? Why are you protesting...

    estes hatchery springfield/mt vernon mo

I used to have a good relation with estes, for 40 yrs and was quite satisfied. Something has changed there, i was treated rudely when they did not make good on orders to my satisfaction, but chose their own satisfaction, as a remedy. This happened 2 yrs in a row. If you have bought chicks...
