My muscovoy duck has been broody for 3 months now, shes very snappy and almost never leaves the coop, we have to go in and get her and put her in her pond for her to clean and poop
My question is what can I do to fix this broody mood she's in? I was waiting it out but it's been so long now...
Found these monday morning in the back yard, not in the nest box *sigh*
I'll have to go looking to see if i can fine anymore, looks like im getting an easter egg hunt this year
I just had a duck egg that was really thick and like jelly, it was a fresh egg from yesterday and it smelt fine.
What's wrong with it or is this normal? My duck is a muscovy
Also if it helps any it's been really hot here lately like in the 90s
well everyone doing really well together, no one has been hurt and they are getting alone, the chickens are keeping out of daisys way and daisy is keeping to herself most of the time haha
this is day 2 of them being together, we had a puppy fence in there but they pushed it over, tbh the chicks always sleep like that, even before they were with the duck
im looking at chicken coops on ebay right now, but they are out of out budget for the size we'll need
this is how they are right now and have been since we put them away (5/6 hours )
normally in the morning daisy will get on top of the "nesting box" and wait to be let out
Ages are in the title, we don't really have the means to build another house, i could move the old dog house in there but it cant be shut so cats could get into it and attack
We just put out chicks out with our grown duck(just 1 duck) and she has been snapping at them when they get close, is this just cause they are new and she's showing the pecking order or should i be worried? will the chicks gang up on her or hurt her? am i going to wake up to a dead duck or...
