Yeah I know, ideally. But it‘s happened before. this is the second time treating the same wound. He reopened it and they pecked. So we’re just taking precautions. 😉
Oh he cut it doing something 🤷🏼♀️ He’s being treated for it … vetericyn, blue kote Etc. Its pretty much healed but we’re keeping the bandage on to prevent pecking. 😊
I think he’s definitely getting pecked but I’m wondering if whatever is going on is bothering him and he’s self plucking 🤷🏼♀️ I haven’t noticed any of the hens going after him. I’ll keep my eye on him. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi everyone! I have a rooster with a very red backside near his vent. The rest of his skin is fine. Others have said it’s hormones (he’s 3). Just want a second opinion. His backside is clean - no pasty butt, he has had diarrhea due to the intense heat here, I’m treating him for scaly leg mite...
No way!! Poor guy! Hope he feels better. Mine is doing well. The breeder had them
On stacked brooder cages and medicated food but it killed all of them. They can’t seem to make a connection between the coccidia and the stomach rupture but my
Vet thinks that’s what it is. I treated them with...
I think there may be less development because it battled a severe case of coccidia and some sort of stomach rupture disease (we’re waiting for the final necropsy results) it has like no comb development and it’s very pale ( pic below)
I’m usually pretty good at doing this but not not this time. Cockerel or pullet SLW? It is one of 10 chicks that survived from an unreliable breeder. A necropsy was done. I have a roo already and not enough chicks for 2. Keep in mind this chick has been very sick and weak for weeks for its...
Did you ever find out with it was? Sorry to see there were no responses. My hen has one now ... she’s (the whole flock) is battling an upr so just curious
Thank you. I will let you know. She texted me earlier and said she got the preliminary results back and they were “odd” so she’s waiting for the final analysis.
