Thank you all. One more died a couple of weeks ago due to a prolapsed vent. She appeared to be better, but the next time I checked on her she was completely stiff. I do plan on getting some (HEALTHY) chicks in the next couple of weeks. My local feed store is getting in some Salmon Faverolles...

R.I.P. to my final two hens from the original 6. The first hens we bought were 2 White Leghorns, 2 Rhode Island Reds, and 2 Americanas. Sadly, after 5 full and happy years, all of those 6 hens are gone. The RIRs, one White, and one Americana all died throughout the last 4 years give or take...

I’m afraid something might have gotten part of her after the chickens got her... I’m not sure though.

I also forgot to mention that when my living Buff/Americana mix was in the middle of the yard, she got down in the crouched position (like when a rooster is in the area) and there were multiple other hens just going at her and pecking her.
