I hung out with her a bit, shes really withdrawn. I think my other hens are giving her a hard time... checked waddle and there is some pox on there too. Saline and neosporin for now... shouldnt she have been vaccinated for this?

She does get picked on from time to time. I've heard that Buff's are so docile that other breads will act more aggressively towards them. I thought they were just establishing pecking order and it would stop. I really don't want to introduce an antibiotic unless I have to. I'll keep...

They are slowly getting the hang and I'm finding them piling closer and closer to the roost each time... I too, have a night light but I'm thinking...

Howdy from Round Rock, Tx! Just getting started but we have 4 girls, hopefully. They are four weeks old now and love their coop. I was surprised to see how quickly they learned to get in the coop at night. The auto door is working great.

Posted years back under different profile "farmerpalermo." Finally got my girls, at least I hope they are girls. 2 black australops, 1 buff orpington, and a golden sexlink. My little barred Plymouth Rock "Rocky," didn't make it through the brooding, he showed no growth for 2 and a half weeks...
