    Probably Australorps. They are big, beautiful, birds and lay pretty brown eggs. And they are dual purpose!

    hoovers hatchery; do you recommend it?

    I've used hoovers a couple times. I've never had any issues. Delivery time takes about 2 days depending on where you live.

    Finally a dry chicken pen!

    I never thought of that! Before I lost my flock (damn coyotes) I was dealing with the same issue. When I re-do the coop, I'm gonna do this! By the way, I'm in South Texas, snow is a very rare occurrence here!

    Well I do have some good news to report as of this morning. It looks like the scabs are starting to clear! My little red hen who had it the worst seems to look a lot clearer! Of course, I’ll still be keeping an eye on this!

    They are blue. The sun was making them look white. They are actually young hens who haven’t started laying yet.

    My dad gave me these 4 hens and I’m curious as to what they are. The photos aren’t the best as they aren’t really used to me yet and they run when I come near. So, anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks! Imelda screwed everything up big time! I missed almost a week of class and the yard flooded, and now the mosquitos! Ughh, it's so nasty!
