Where did you put the tube? Just in the mouth or down?

How soon will the Corid start to work? Its been 2 days since I've noticed changes in stools and non eating or drinking. Also, do you give Sulmet at the same time? I have both Corid and Sulmet on hand.

Hey guys, just hatched one of my emu eggs, the chick looks like it may have a cataract in the bottom of one eye, is this common or maybe an injury on the way out of the shell?

Thanks! Maybe it's the different climates that make them later in the season? 3 are from Montana and 1 from California. Hoping for at least 2. What is your source for eggs?

I'm going to attempt hatching again, what is the best temperature? 95.5 or 97.5? I really miss my Pumbaa and I hope at least 2 of these will hatch, if not I will have to wait for next year because I guess breeding season is almost over for everyone.

So sorry for your loss as well. There is just something different about these amazing creatures, if only we could of had them awhile longer.I will probably have another someday, I miss his little whistle and those eyes.

That's great. What are you using for an incubator?

We did the humane thing and put my Pumbaa down, he would not of had a quality of life and I would only be keeping him for my own selfishness. I have not cried this hard in a long time, he really made his way deep into my heart. RIP my little Pumbaa.

Whatever happened to your Emu?

I just hate that, I am going to see how he does, if he seems to be having more pain or is really suffering I will do the humane thing, I have bonded with this little guy and he is my first Emu. Maybe they just aren't for me, but gosh they sure are interesting to watch and how he has learned to...
