    Hi there.. So, our California White was "off" this morning. She's not eating or drinking..and not moving much. She's normallly one of our more spunky chickens. Could this be from the cold? Egg bound? We have her an epsom salt bath. No egg came out?? Help!

    I found these spots on my Buff Orpington yesterday when we got back to town. She is the lowest in the pecking order. Seems to be eating a drinking fine. Is this pox or from pecking??

    She doesn't have the white/yellow spots that seem to be classic fowl pox. Could this be from being pecked??

    Anyone use SAND in the run/coop

    Where do you find this sand???? I've looked at the hardware store, a landscaping company and Lowes. Everyone only sells play sand or all purpose sand. I was told not to use those because of the silica being dangerous to the chickens lungs!

    Hi there! We are new to chickens. How early can you feed greens, etc to new chicks? Will the choke on things bigger than their starter crumble?
