I removed the egg and blocked off the nesting box entrance but she is very distressed, I think I'll put it back as it was, is there any gentler way of doing this?

Hi My hen became broody so I bought 3 fertilized eggs for her, 2 hatched last week but the other one has done nothing. She's still sitting on it, shall I remove it now? If so, will this stop her being broody, she's looking a bit pale and I'm worried that she'll make herself ill.. The chicks...
