egg not hatched from 1st august

Hi

My hen became broody so I bought 3 fertilized eggs for her, 2 hatched last week but the other one has done nothing. She's still sitting on it, shall I remove it now? If so, will this stop her being broody, she's looking a bit pale and I'm worried that she'll make herself ill.. The chicks are doing fine but I don't want her to suffer because of them

I'd appreciate any advice, I'm very new to this

so If I understand you your hen has been sitting on the eggs since august 1st? if so yes get rid of the egg it might explode and make a nasty mess. as far as broody hen remove from the nest and block it off so she won't go back to setting. Good luck.

I removed the egg and blocked off the nesting box entrance but she is very distressed, I think I'll put it back as it was, is there any gentler way of doing this?
