Well my little bannie chicken raven looks very sick... Se has crust all over her eyes, she has no sight, when she tries to make noise, she makes a gargling noise....and she walks around but usually leans on a bush or the fence... Anyone know what's wrong? And also my BO pullet was dead in the...
well they have a 4 foot wide, by 16 footlong, by 5 foot tall coop, and 10 foot wide, and 16 foot long run. And when they free range, i usually supervise them while taking care of my other animals outside... so yeah it could be stress....
Well I had ten chickens three roosters and seven hens... And eight of them died.. Either went next door to the oth chicken farm, or got eaten by a bobcat, raccoon, or fox or something.. So I had two hens left and they gave me about two eggs a day even through winter, well about a week and a half...
Hey guys I just went to the Darby,FL sunday auction from 1-4, and just bought 3 new hens (two are RIR, and one is a Domonique), and two new roosters( RIR, and Domonique). I had 10 chickens before but coyotes, racoons, and Bobcats took all but two hens. So now I have seven....WOOHOO.... i feel great
What method do you use for litter maitnence? is it shallow litter, or deep litter method? Because I do shallow once in a while but i just waste my shavings. Deep method doesn't stink as bad and saves you money on shavings.
I knew she was sitting on eggs,she has almost 18 eggs under her(there's 5 in the coop)and every time i would try to move her from her eggs,she would have a huge fit.
