Thanks @Trish44! I actually used a social media outsourcing service (friend who owes me a favor) to post an ad on Facebook. I think he’s pretty familiar with the rules on all the various small animal swapping groups. 🤑🤫
Yep, @Snarflogus, whoever they are, they look like the types who would be...
Good ideer. I’ll start checking around a bit more. In recent years the prevalence of good old fashioned bulletin boards seem to have declined quite precipitously... And because I’m a curmudgeon, I blame Facebook 😛
Here are a few more photos of some birds with whom I’ve hung out with.
Thanks Snarflogus! ☺️
I’ve alway heard about these poultry auctions but have never been to one. Do people typical post about them in advance in this thread?
Hey y’all. I’m not new to chickens, BYC, or to Kansas, but gosh, I haven’t posted here in years.

This guy does on occasion try to go after the other two roosters here but they always run; however, they are not game breeds. I think providing them with plenty of space helps (a luxury we are able to provide), the competing roosters have their own territory. Fights only occur...
Here we have the ruling rooster here at Coal Creek Farm. Currently he goes by the name Scarecrow, in part because of behavior like this. Here he is chasing a cochin away from the cat food bowlsonly his three hens are allow to steal food from the cats.
