I wish the chickens could be convinced to start a small fire in a bucket and allow me to photograph them brewing coffee and cooking oatmeal over an open flame... yep... that is my one true wish, to watch chickens preparing food.

I just love games... i sure wish i could have a rooster. i have two roos and heard that if i get purebred game rooster then he would probably kill my other two roos. I just love yours. He is gorgeous.

This guy does on occasion try to go after the other two roosters here but they always run; however, they are not game breeds. I think providing them with plenty of space helps (a luxury we are able to provide), the competing roosters have their own territory. Fights only occur when someone encroaches, and since the other two roos are more docile, they simply avoid this guy altogether. Now if another rooster with a disposition similar to this this fellow, Scarecrow, came to live here, I have a feeling feather would fly. They probably wouldn't back down, and I would be forced to constantly intervene. The roo that sired these bird lives on a two rooster farm and they are never allowed to free range together due to squabbles that can turn somewhat viscous. Aside from that, he is extremely attentive and protective of the hens, doesn't chase the mailman (he is nice to humans as long as they avoid eye contact lol, j/k), great at free ranging, sticks to the routine, and ensures his hens are roosting at a safe hour. A really pleasant bird to live with, I just wish he would eat squash bugs.

Well how can you expect them to do that if you haven't even sent them to culinary school yet? Duh!

Just great. You know, between taking them to soccer practice, piano lessons, art classes, their L.A.R.P. club meetings, I just don't have time to think.

I love that he is not dubbed. I know it is "the thing" but I love the comb - it belongs on their head

Would love to have a game roo - just for the protection, but I worry too much for my Orpington roos safety
