I thought my Hampshire red rooster was big until I saw that one. Mine is about 1/3 smaller than that one. Lots of small birds, I'm more interested in full size birds for my flock. I did have a good time looking at all the different types of chickens.
Wee went to the Gso show. Had a great time looking at all the birds. Didn't stay for the whole thing. Not sure what all goes on toward the end of a show. I hate that I don't know or recognize any of the folks on here. I would really like to get to know some (or ALL!) of y'all. Someone said...
Hi to all... I eat some, give some away at work. Everyone loves them. Had Cowboy Kiesh(not sure of the spelling) for supper tonight. Thank you to each and every one of my chickens! I love my chickens! My wife says that I spoil them. Well Duh!!!!!
Snowing in Ramseur. It looks like a couple inches already and still coming down. Some of my chickens don't mind the snow, and some refuse to walk on it! They will come out if there is a bare spot to land on! No bare spots tomorrow! LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought me a heated 3 gal. waterer at tractor supply. I love it. Don't leak, and will supply my 10 chickens at least 2 days, sometimes 3.
Just flip it over and fill. Set it on the cement block(helps keep it clean), and there you go.
Those standard L-brackets will work fine if they are heavy enough. If you are interested, I have a few old standard house windows out in an old building. You know the kind that have 6 panes, and you have to caulk. They would need a coat of paint and some caulking, but are sound as far as I know...
I looked on their website, and I think Pittsboro is the closest to the Piedmont. Don't remember the name of the store, but you can look at their Mule City's website for a list of distributors.
