    Buff Orpington has never laid an egg

    I also have a Buff Orpington that never really started laying. We got her April of 2020 as a chick and she laid 1 egg in the fall of 2020 (later than the other 2 we got her with though). Is it a coincidence that they are both Buffs?

    I am treating the mites with a poultry mite spray and she is already doing better, still sad though. I'm going to give her a bath today because sleeping in the nest box has caused her to get lots of poop stuck on her feathers.

    I attached 2 pictures of her poop and one picture of her crop, she feels heavier that she was last time I lifted her. When I lift her she can't stand up at all anymore. When I feel her crop it feels pretty squishy like it is a water balloon.

    If you want to check if she is egg bound you need to check in her vent 1"-2" to see if you feel an egg.

    They don't seem to be, I see them drink from it regularly. This one chicken has always struggled with it but everything I found was that she will just figure it out but she hasn't yet. I was hoping that my other girls would teach her but that hasn't happened yet either.
