    Has anyone ever gotten any answers to this situation. Very same fluid rushing out, lethargic, pale comb, and it has been 105 with an index of 110+. She's the only one to stay in the coop today. Any advice on next step would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a pekin female that survived a raccoon trying to pull her out a window by her head. The swelling is way down and no open wounds. Just bruising left. Can I reunite her now? It's been 16 days since she has seen them (if she can see that well).

    I am trying to hand feed a turaco. I've never done this before and there isn't a lot online about it. Is anyone on here familiar with exactly where I should place the food syringe tip in the mouth and how to know if his crop is emptying fully. It seems so frail. Thanks

    Hen destroying and eating eggs

    I have a hen that likes to eat eggs. She is also lowest in the pecking order. I have a small cage kennel (18x24x18) that i set in the coop in the evening and put her in until all eggs have been collected the next day. She then roams the rest of the day with the rest of the flock.

    Okay what should I do? Found this wrong sideed pip 12 hours ago. I peeled a wee bit away to be sure I could see his beak so I knew he could breath but nothing has changed since. Do I need to continue helping it hatch? I know the pics suck but I don't want to open the lid any more than I have to.

    Bummer, I did notice the green area had leaked into the air cell cuz it was partially green too. Yeah, that's the sad part, can't save them all but there are none others to distract me

    I did not open it but I suspect that it was in fact bacteria the eggs actually came from someone else that doesn't do very well at keeping the nest boxes clean. I did my best to clean them before I set them. The other 9 eggs will lockdown in two days!!

    I candelled it this afternoon and the green had leaked/spread into the air cell and the duckling had died. :-(

    I'm on day 18 and just candled and weighed my duck eggs. While candling I noticed this odd spot. My guess, bacteria. At this point the chick is still alive. Anybody know what this is for sure?
