    I was wondering if maybe the insecticide they used could have caused this? They used the Permethrin in the coop but i did not spray my chickens we found no lice on them they have great dust spots all around our farm could that maybe be the cause of this???

    I always check my hens pelvis area as well. If they are not ready to lay the pelvic bones will be closed or close to each other. If they are ready to lay the pelvic bones will be wide apart and you can fit 2-3 fingers between them. I go by the combs and wattles as well but if one looks ready...
