Went out to check on the girls in the tractor for the final time this evening and saw an egg, much to my surprise it was a rubber egg!!! Looks like I will be getting oyster shell at the feed store tomorrow! It is weird feeling to say the least.

I have a pair of knock off Crocs, that I affectionately call my "Croc-Offs".
They stay by the back door, when I go work with the girls I slip them on, if they get dirty, and they do, I just rinse them off and leave them outside to dry and bring them back in later in the day.

I am currently using Acco Feeds Paymaster Chick Starter-Grower medicated crumbles until the chicks get 6 weeks old. Is 6 weeks too early to switch to a layer feed?
What brand and type should I go with until they reach 20 weeks? Acco, Purina, Nutrena???
