You known, I wouldn't rule it out. I know babies are curious and they peck at each other's faces, feathers, feet, etc sometimes. But usually just lighty, I haven't really observed these chicks pecking with real intensity or force?
UPDATE: There is some crusty/snot/mucus in that swollen nostril. Used some sterile saline to wipe nostril, I'm concerned about illness as opposed to sometbing stuck in her nasal cavity. Should she be separated?

Oh no! I didn't have any eye pecking with our first flock of babies, these two don't seem to be doing it either thankfully. But I think you're right, kind of just the nature of chicks. Dinosaur lizard brain I suppose haha. Hopefully they grow out of it!
