Can the suet that you place in wild bird feeder cages be a treat for chickens if hung from a rafter so the can peck at it.They are usually 4x5 and slip in little wire baskets

Is the 2x4 in front of tour box a roosting perch?? As u can see Im new at raising these feathered friends:(

I get a double every week from two Rhodies.Is that normal or luck be with me??

Looks like I will have to handle them on roost for a few nights ,Like I said they will sit on the perch for a short time and the jump off and lay in straw in box.They are good layers but only 7 months old I THINK By the way the hens are Rhodies

The bigger board do you mean the roosting board .This is a 1x4 and is only 8 inches above box. thanks for reply so soon

Where is proper place to set a roost.P have put a lid on the nest boxes and have roost on top but they will not use the roosts:cool:
