  • Hi granny! I hope your DD is getting better and you are ok and coping with this. I read your posts from yesterday with a tear I have to say. Hope today is better for you. Thinking of you and speak to you soon *Hugs*
I'm here now, nearly mid day here at the moment. Been out out riding on Harry this morning and then had to iron all the school and work shirts!! Yak Yak Yak I hate ironing but it needed end to be done. Your up and about super early today. I hit the sack about 9.30 last night and didn't wake till 6 this morning and still felt lie had only had 10 minutes.
LOL...Put a cup of water in the bator and a wet sponge in the cup of water. This should add enough humidity to the air.
there is no fog at all but just internal pip so far. I am sure it needs more humidity . should I throw some socks in ?
As long as they have enough space to breathe in the air cell, it should be fine. If the air cell is too big, this can mean the chick dehydrated and may be very small at hatch. If the cell is too small then there is no room to breathe. You want to see fog on your window in the incubator. If you don't see it during pipping, you don't have enough humidity for hatching.
In your humidity, dry hatches work ok. Have you candled lately? If the air cell looks normal then the humidity was just fine throughout the cycle. However you will need to add humidity for hatching. Humidity helps to soften the egg shells so they can zip out and it keeps the chick from sticking to the inside of the shell during pipping. Keep me posted! :-)
Hi sweety! You should be coming up on lock down soon? Keep me posted on all the cuteness!!! :-)
