Mites do not live on the chickens, they are like bed bugs and come out at night and suck blood while they sleep like a vampire!

The red bugs are most likely red poultry mites. I wonder if the bugs with wings are a kissing bug? Any pictures?

I would also consider diatomaceous earth sprinkled pretty heavy in the coop and even on the chickens. It is pretty cheap and I don't know of any negative side effects. My understanding is it works great on external parasites like lice and mites, but does not really work on internal parasites. I...

Hi all, sorry to add another rooster/hen, but I was totally thinking our Hayhay was a rooster Barred Rock, but he doesn't seem to have the bars of a Barred Rock. So what is he/she? Hayhay is around 18 weeks.
