Are these mites?

I checked one of my birds vent and under the wings during the day and didn’t see anything, but they do have scaley leg mites right now. When I was cleaning out their coop floor I found a couple of these. Some of them were reddish and some this color ranging from skinny to a little bigger. I could only find them in one spot where my chickens sleep (I can’t seem to get them to roost). I sprayed the whole coop with an oil mixture. I didn’t see anymore except a few. I took a video but not
Sure how to post. Thanks again for looking and any input.

Mites are pretty easy to see. They coat feathers in chalky eggs that are obvious. You'll see feathers just COVERED in white. And at the base of the tail you might even see the actual mites. Another place to check is the chin.

To get rid of them, I advise you bathe the hens, and spray coop with a power spray attachment. Next a mite spray (homemade works,If need be I can send a recipe) I poured boiling water in the cracks, then after dry rubbed with lime.

I would also consider diatomaceous earth sprinkled pretty heavy in the coop and even on the chickens. It is pretty cheap and I don't know of any negative side effects. My understanding is it works great on external parasites like lice and mites, but does not really work on internal parasites. I use it as a general prevention in the coop every cleanup.

Thank you everyone! I cleaned and clean and sprayed a solution all over my coop. My coop is very small. Then I sprinkled poultry powder everywhere and put new bedding in. I also add some DE and ash to their dust bath. I can’t seem to find them on my chickens but I don’t really know what I’m doing. I’m going to dust the chicken with poultry powder tonight. Today when I was cleaning up soiled bedding in the coop I looked for more bugs. I saw several very small little reddish bugs and then several long winged light brownish bugs that have wings but could fly? Are these the same kind of bug just At a different life cycle? Poultry wings lice?

Oops meant they could not fly

It’s super strange because I haven’t seen any on my bird or any signs of them. They are like a light red color but the winged bugs are super light brown. They look just like fruit flies but can’t fly! Thanks so much for responding. I checked yesterday under all the bedding. I put permethrin powder down Saturday and the next day couldn’t find any. I’m going to repeat with permethrin powder next week. I didn’t want to treat the birds if they didn’t have any parasites on them. Their skin is pink and there isn’t any white or grey build up on the shaft or on the vent? I could be missing it but it seems like I would see something!?

No I
The red bugs are most likely red poultry mites. I wonder if the bugs with wings are a kissing bug? Any pictures?
