yes , you can keep them in a chicken coop while you're at work,until you can make their run more secure. If they're free rangers...well, that just keeps them on the forest critters menu.

lol 2 of them ARE roosters. Mine was attempting to crow by week 5. I thought someone was killing a chick & ran to my basement. It was him. He sounded like a bicycle horn under water. Now at 8 or 9 weeks, he sounds like any dog toy you squeeze, in the dog aisle. lol
10 weeks? I still see a female. however does this one look different from your others? are this ones legs fatter than the others (although even hen buffs have fatter legs than my other breeds)
the top younger pic was the roo. He has already moved away. Im not having 2 full sized roosters again. The fighting with the last one ( Americauna)brought me to that conclusion. I have a rooster (showed up as a runaway or drop off, over a yr ago..possibly a golden comet??), who guards the girls...
Can anyone tell me the breed of this? We were at Tractor Supply getting Buff Orpingtons , & my daughter brought 2 of these home. TS didnt know the breed "they came in with the rest". HE has already been rehomed, but his sister is still here & I would like to know what kind she is. I will see if...
