we had 5 chicks. 3 were bought first then we added 2 more 2 weeks later. Sadly one of the younger ones didn’t make it past 4 weeks. Ever since, the other young one has been constantly squawking. I don’t think the other older chicks are picking on her but I’m wondering if we should get another chick to help the squeaker adjust. Also should note the squawker has a cross beak. She’s smaller than the others but seems to be able to eat.

Getting another doesnt mean she will have a friend, since she is more than 4 weeks older at this point. Unless you find someone who has them the same age. Will it work? Dont know. My mini polish lost her litter mate friend last yr to a stinkin fox & she talked for weeks. This year I got her 5 more (*to accomodate for "mishaps") so shes not the only one of her kind :) Shes warming up to the new ones, but I dont see yet that shes buddies with anyone yet. Shes still acting chummy with the silky :/
