    I got my duck from Ideal and ordered black Indian runner and this one doesn’t stand up like my fawn and white runner. Does anyone know what breed this is? Mostly curious, but I’d like to send Ideal a note to let them know as well. I can take better pictures, but thought these would work well.

    I had one incident early on with my chickens and one drowned. That being said, we have ducks and chickens and the chickens walk around the pond and seem to be fine with the water. No incidents in a year and change.

    Mine seem to do well on ACV and like it. It might be hogwash, but I do know the ones with pasty butt didn’t have it anymore after a week on ACV.

    I got mine late March last year and they laid by Late October and they really didn’t have any winter stoppage for the most part.

    We “built” a little enclosure for the chick and ducklings to meander outside during the day (supervised of course) and they seem to love it! Just wanted to share a couple pictures!

    IMO I wouldn’t pay that much for a hen, but I’m cheap and don’t need to. Chicks at a supply store run $2-3 each.

    Sorry. I’m not sure, do you think she’s hot or cold? What’s the environment like? Is she by herself or has friends?

    Three week old Bantam Yolk sac

    Here is a pic. Looks like there is dried blood and yellow stuff dried up, along with poop. The vent is clear (had pasty butt first week, but cleared up with cleaning and ACV).
