I am only having movement in one egg. so I was worried that it would affect the other eggs. I hope some hatch. I just have a styrofoam bator i bought at tractor supply. I have the humidty trays filled and a sponge with water do you think that will be decent humidity or should I add a wet towel...
I hate to say but I think most of my little ducklings past away in the shell. :/ It makes me really said. But I still have 4 days so we will see. But tonight I was turning them I have on already chirping and peeping. I am really nervous. it is way to early! I hope all works out. I have waited so...
I have duck eggs in my incubator. My temp this time has changed so much that I think I have lost most of them. But it is day 24 and I hear chriping and peaking in one of the eggs. Should I go ahead and raise the humidity in there? How long til it hatches? This is my first time with duck eggs...
OMG they are adorable! :D Congrats on the babies! I have 6 days left. I candled the eggs last night and you could see the babies moving around. I am so excited.
I see what you are all saying now. But when I was looking at him this morning i didnt see the blue in him. So Idk what he is. I thik he is pretty though. I got him with about 4 hens. I will see what I get from them! :D
There is no blue on the rooster at all. I believe that is just the way the sun was heating on him or something. cause I looked today and I seen no blue in him. The hens in the picture do look a off blue but in real life they look more like a really light fawn or chocolate color.
The lady I got them from. Idk if she would know if they was chocolate or not. She just had a bunch of chickens in a pen together that people have gave her over the years. some one gaves these to her and she gave them to me. I have a few pullets *** well that are white with the chocolate color...
The color is exactly like that in the picture of the dun. The pattern is WAY WAY off. They just got done molting. These birds are almost a year old. and they dont get a lot of sun as its been kinda cold and wet lately here and their cage is completely covered besides the front.
So today I butchered a chicken. I am new to the whole process, When I was gutting him it seems his breast and stuff was slimy, had a clear lim coating like. Is this normal?
