    excellent advise, i'm less than 6' and the coop will be 7' on the back and 6' in the front so i can stand up in it....nobody has their chicks in stock yet i'm hoping to get some this weekend

    thanks for the replies! i'll put additional 4x4 vertical posts 5' on center and run hardware cloth from top to bottom to keep my girls safe.

    S.C. means "single comb" correct? do dark browns have that much orange neck typically? I was hoping he was a light brown leghorn.

    excuse my ignorance, this is my first go round raising chickens and I'm curious of my young brown leghorn rooster is supposed to have white ears and is getting white tail feathers, is this normal?
