    Young emu feeder...dumb sparrows

    Hello. I have 2 four month old emu that I feed from raised dog bowls. Is there something I can use so they can eat all day, but the sparrows can't? I'm mostly upset they poop in the feed.....thanks

    Hello. Sorry about you luck, I did like your FB page. I have some Ko Shamo in Michigan....they don't seem to thrive.....they die pretty easy.....I don't think the winters in Michigan are good for them. Sounds like your breed might not be much better....

    Who lives where it's freezing half the year?? What is your cold weather care? I plan to have them in smaller pens with thick straw bedding in an old cinder block Gable style barn. So they will have no wind but plenty of ventilation. I'm talking Asil, Malay, ko Shamo and Indio gigante. Thanks

    I forgot all about that I had got one. He didn't mention if you were male or female that I remember. I'm not even sure if I just let him keep that bird....my memory with chickens is horrible I've had hundreds and switch breeds so much!!
