DIY Instructions for Very EASY heated waterer for under $20 bucks

Concerning the vertical waterers, I don't know what brand I have, because a guy from the guinea forums sent them to me. But I have to say, they have been trouble free for 5 years. (I accidently let two freeze on a gallon feeder, not heated) still works after thawed & no drips. They are red, &...

I had to tell my kids to stop putting the pullets on head & such, because, I heard one gal that handled hers so much & they were so friendly,(putting them on shoulders & head) so when they got older, & she walked out of her house they would fly up to her & try to land on her. Kinda looked like...

This is my 1st round with chickens, & we ordered 4chicks, (about 5 years ago) since Ive read so much about their docile personalities. We handled them when young, but I think they are the best! If I had to do over again I would do the same!

DIY Instructions for Very EASY heated waterer for under $20 bucks

I'm on my 4th year with a small Tetra aquarium heater, with 2nd heater. I put in a gallon container with two nipples. no insulation, and been working fine. There is a tiny red light that comes on when it is heating. ON EDIT; forgot to mention I'm near SW PA border.

    Coccidiosis emiera

I cant believe they survived, one for sure looked like a gonner. They just stayed squatted on their roost bar, in coop. This is when I was trying to get birds to drink, I used a syringe, & they would bite at it, as I would squirt. But the one of them was looking at my little throw away cup, that...

Thank you for the mash tip, I was worried about how to get medication in them. And not trying to be smart, but trying to learn, fresh batch of water/med, because medication is not present over 24 hours or water get contaminated? Thanks again for all your help.

    Anyone use these nipple waterers?

Mine are just like those but don't screw in, they push tight into a rubber grommet. Use any container you wish, big or small! It's been 4 years now without any problems & I use an aquarium heater in winter, the cheap one from wally world.

That's my point, I do have the waterers, so then I could leave alone? (NOT change daily) My birds take approx. 1 week to go through the gallon.
