    That is a beautiful Rooster! Sorry, but yeah, it's a Rooster. If you have a well bred line of Black Coppers you can normally tell pretty easy purely based off of the comb. Hens "normally" do not have much red color in them with a well bred BC line. And all of the trolls around... I said...

    Looks like a Black Copper Maran to me. Google it and look at the images, almost a spitting image of the picture you have posted here. Beautiful rooster!
