Thats exactly what I had to do. Once she gets her energy back she will do it on her own and create a habit out of it. Dont release her until 3 days of her being normal. If you have other chickens I recommend giving them some electrolytes too.
Thats not a chord, thats its organs. Ive had a chick born just like it...its body closed around it. The best thing to do would be put it down. Im sorry to inform you but my chick died 3 days after...it has no access to that vital organ.
