She is an awesome mommy hen! A mite too big to sit on the egg though! She raised a brood of six and kicked us out of the nest awhile ago, but we're allowed to visit the coop for Sunday dinner.

My mom is hatching an egg for me. It was set on 7/18 around lunchtime and I last candled it on Aug 7th. The air sac looked the appropriate size and I could see veining. I didn't see movement but the egg is a blue green one with a thick shell so I think that made it difficult to see. No pips...
