First time broody and putting babies under her

I wanted to get a picture of all 11 with her but everytime I go down to get it she tells them to get under her.She has had them out and is a very good mom.Still can`t belive she would take them and they are 5 days old.I bet she is thinking I hope she doesn`t come out tonight and put more babies under me I thhink I have enough to care for!lol

My mom is hatching an egg for me. It was set on 7/18 around lunchtime and I last candled it on Aug 7th. The air sac looked the appropriate size and I could see veining. I didn't see movement but the egg is a blue green one with a thick shell so I think that made it difficult to see. No pips yet. I am worried. How long should I wait past the expected hatch date before we discard the egg?

She is an awesome mommy hen! A mite too big to sit on the egg though! She raised a brood of six and kicked us out of the nest awhile ago, but we're allowed to visit the coop for Sunday dinner.
