We gave them a tablet each tonight. We will do 1 tab a day for 7 days. I read that somewhere else. Hopefully that will give them enough of a boost!
Our coop is 3x8 with 4 nesting boxes on the outside of it (still covered). We let them free range the entire yard.
They seem to be completely normal! We got a citrate +D3 calcium tablet bottle so they will each be getting one pill a day for 1 week. I am going to cut out all snacks and just let them free range and eat their feed. Maybe they are getting too much human food?
They eat layer feed - crumbles (from farm and fleet), mealworms (they split 3/4 cup a day), oyster shells (mixed in with their layer feed), and then whatever leftover fruits or veggies I have from snacking throughout the day.
Every day for the past (almost) 2 weeks we have been finding these in the coop. They have plenty of calcium. Why is this happening? Is the roo too much for them? Does he need to go? Too much stress? What the heck is the issue here!!!! 😭😭😭😭
