    Yesterday my girls had a scare with neighborhood dogs. Today they are charging at my dog, she's a 13 year old chihuahua. Any of you experienced this before?

    First egg then nothing for days!

    One of my girls started laying Thursday. I was so excited! Had an egg a day, so far. I let them out for some free ranging yesterday and didn't realize she laid in the azalea bush, till this AM. (She went directly back there to lay today.)

    Hi Tori, Welcome to BYC. Here's my "story" 1. Very new to chickens. Working on week 3 with em now. 2. 3 3. 1 CX & 2 Red Sex Links 4. Good ole Google too. 5. Roller derby (I'm only a spectator though.), reading, movies. 6. Single, 15 y/o daughter, 1 cat, 1 dog & I work in transportation.

    I am new to all chickens. We ended up with 1 CX and 2 red sex links. They were purchased as chicks for someone's children for Easter, then I'm guessing the wow factor wore off and on Craigslist they went. (Which is how I got them.) My question to you, Hoffy, is how do you keep your CX so active...

    I have a meat bird as well and wow @ how often this bird sits to eat and drink. I kept moving everything, to give it some sort of exercise. I originally thought something was wrong with her.
