Hello,
We have too many Roosters in our flock. We unfortunately need to find homes for 4 of our handsome 3 1/2 month old boys. 2 are EE Roosters and 2 are Blue Polish crested. We love them all but need to do what is best for the flock and that would mean I can only keep 3 Roosters. So far...
Hello, I thought I would post on here since I have two beautiful "Blue" Polish crested males about 3 1/2 months old that I need to find homes for. We have 7 Roosters so far out of my flock of 28 and can't keep em all. (Even though I wish I could;) We are located near Temecula,CA if anyone is...
Hello everyone!
Ok unfortunately even though I asked for females we thus far have ended up with 7 Roosters out of the flock of 28. It's hard to let them go but we have to do whats best for the flock and girls. ;) We are letting go 2 beautiful or shall I say handsome EE's both tails are...
Ok learning. WOW that is a beautiful Rooster. I am really hoping to keep a few roosters but we shall see. I have 28 chickens all mixed on sizes and breeds so am concerned if these ones are roosters how they will interact with the bantams etc... I think I have a Millie Fleur rooster too and...
Here is the lighter 2nd one in question if Roo or pullet and if a EE?
Also I want to say they are about 4 weeks as I got them as chicks first week of April. Girl thought 3 days or so when I got. ?
Hard to see but a tiny wattle trying to come out here. ;)
This ones comb is a weird...
Ok so I have another thread wondering gender of this one which most have said they felt a rooster. :( But I also have read that EE's usually dont have wattles? This one does and the feet are feathering? Is this normal for a Easter Egger? I have a lighter one that is doing same thing...
As for EE#3. Just curious what is making you guys lean towards Roo? I see the colors on wings is it that? The comb is light so thought that meant pullet? Or can still change darker? Just curious so can keep watch on others and fun learning ;). I'm hoping our Millie is a female was hoping by...
This is the Wynadotte I'm guessing approaching 4 wks now very submissive and shy. Oh we named her "Dot"
This is the Millie Fleur my daughter call's her pumpkin because she was so tiny and round and orange color. She has NO problem hanging out with the big ones she gets everywhere they do...
Ok Here are some of my straight run chicks curious if can tell Pullet's or Roo's?
First are 3 of my 6 Polish other 3 are only 2 weeks old so most likely too soon? The first two the Silver Laced and White crested black are about 4 weeks now the Golden Laced Polish is about 3 weeks or 2 1/2...
Thank you guys really nice to have this site to ask questions from people who have the experience. I really appreciate all your advice and idea's. I am going to attach pictures of the rest of the standard EE's to see. The one labled # 4 I bought from a separate feed store and was told she...
We were planning on keeping ALL together as I have heard bantams and standard to large will get along if all raised together? We have 4 standard EE's (now possible one roo there :( ) , 2 bantam EE's (suppose to be both pullets) , 1 Mille Fleur (not sure on pullets or roos yet, 6 Polish ( not...
Just curious what signs are there? The tail? Also is it safe to keep him with others being that we have some bantam sized chickens too? We were going to keep roosters if smaller but this one is a standard size EE. :(
Normally we make piggy pancakes for the kids but now that we have 28 chickens I thought I would change it up a bit this a.m. lol
Have a great day everyone!!
Here's a few more of comb and close up of wing. The others combs are more flesh color and flatter and tails are not sticking up as high.
Also just curious do you all think Easter Egger?
