I've been following Katie's threads but I haven't posted until now. I really enjoy your updates, she's so beautiful! I'm looking forward to the Best in Show pictures.
Are you talking about ARBA shows?
At eight months of age and over Flemish Giants are shown as Seniors. She must weigh at least 14lbs, be longer than 20 inches in length (tip of nose to base of tail), and have ears that measure no less than 5 and 3/4 inches. Most of the points are for the color...
It's not quite what you're looking for, but I've used this: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/ to chart egg laying. Its helpful for me to see where the flocks egg production is going, and very simple.
I really liked the Goat Tears (60 second), and the Cat Herders commercial. The "Can switching to Geico really save you 15% or more on your car insurance?" commercials are really funny too.
Some of the CoverGirl commercials dont sit well with me after the one about outer beauty being more...
In our group, there was a teenager who was just starting collage at the end of his project! This was his first year in poultry 4-H, and his last due to age limits. Sixteen is certainly not to old!
The Himalayan gene is temperature sensitive. The points on your Californians will get darker and larger in cold weather, and lighter/smaller in warmer weather.
My little one (12 yrs old) has been beggin me for a 'pygmie' goat. I am building the 'taj mahal' of chicken runs..((at least as exhausted as I am it feels that way). Its approx 16 x 20 and I only have 6 chickens..
So can I put a mini goat in with them without issue?

I want to switch to organic feed or feed w/o animal by products. It seems noone around here carries it. Where does everyone get theirs? Do I need to mix my own?
There's a good BYC page created by GardeNerd that might help your search for organic feed...
Corn isn't "good" for rabbits, but people still feed corn because it's cheap (same for dog and cat food). Is the rabbit just a pet, with no plans to breed?
Purina Show is 16% protein, 3.5% fat, and 18.5/21.5% fiber and Purina Professional is 18% Protein, 1.6% fat, and 14.5/19% Fiber.

I've read that egg yolks get their color from the xanthophylls in the chickens' feed. So marigolds, afalfa, and corn would give you those bright orange yolks. As would allowing the flock to forage,.. and eat dark leafy greens. I wouldn't think wheat would have much in the way of orange pigment.
Correct me if I'm wrong,.. But don't all rabbits need to be at least six months old to be registered? Wouldn't the torn ear be a DQ and prevent that rabbit from being registered or shown? Of course you'd still need his pedigree so his offspring could be registered.
6 Week old Lion Head Bunnies....assorted colors two of the four have blue eyes. Unsexed. Adorable.
Great for pets, 4H, or raising more fuzzy bunnies!
A responsible breeder usually won't sell before eight weeks, would sex them before selling, and wouldn't encourage "raising more fuzzy bunnies."...
Rabbits will let out a squeal if they're in pain, or as mentioned some buck will squeal after breeding. It's good idea to keep bucks seperate though (at all times).
