I've had some call ducks along with my pair of wood ducks. Fishers got in and joy killed. They were fenced in high fencing but not overhead. Of course their house was quite safe but I let them into their yard most days. Fishers are the most evil predators to have.

I don't believe the hawks fly in numbers. You most likely have vultures which do fly and glide in numbers. They will not bother live birds in my experience. We have flying predators and they are unique in that the pair will fly alone. When they begin their hunt, they call out. Happens every...
