    Well, all is looking good. While there is a lot of bruising. The wound is not warm or reddish. The other antibiotic I was thinking I might need was Augmentin. Thank you for the replies. Seems like Doxycycline and SMZ/TMP did the trick. Just say NO to mean roosters! Hen Herder Dave
