    What do I have?

    I purchased 20 chicks today and was told by the brand new associate that they were ALL ISA Brown chicks. There were signs up for Cornish and barred rocks also, but he said he had sold out of them. A quick Google search tells me ISA Browns are not a black breed.... So what breed do you think the...

    My temporary coop... Ended up with more chickens than i had planned on. Chicken math... In the process of building a larger coop to accomodate my 9 ladies better.

    I was in the backyard working on chicken coops and desite freezing temperatures, all my chives are thriving. None of my other herbs have come up yet :(

    These chicks are about 16 days old. My house is kept around 70. The only time i see them close to the heat lamp is at night when they are resting. Are they at a stage where i can keep the light off during the day?

    illinois towns that allow backyard chickens

    Galesburg allows chickens as long as they are 25ft from neighbors' property lines. My town of Abingdon does not allow any livestock in town. Thank god i named all my hens ;)

    Tractor supply said they do not make any claims as to what breed their chicks are. I think they look like buff orphingtons.
