    First Egg Countdown

    Mine started laying Sunday and so far I've gotten 14 eggs from my 11 BO's. I think only 4 have started laying because that's the most I've gotten in one day. So far my egg count per day is: 1, 2, 4, 1, 4, and I've gotten 2 so far today.

    Thanks! We've been using it for a few months now and have only had to manually fill the waterer a handful of times. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and how well it's working.

    I bought half inch square hardware cloth 24 inches wide at Ace Hardware for about $1 a foot (in 50 foot lengths).

    Why not build a rectangular frame out of 1x3 or 4 and mount it directly to the fence on top of the gap? I bet it would last longer.
