This is the label from our local feed mill's feed. Is it decent? Keep in mind the free range a few hours daily and get lots of fresh foods, seeds and grains. If it means anything, my first hen started laying last week at 16 weeks. They were on the starter/grower, but time for layer I guess.
We got our girls at a few days old in April and today we were given these! I am so excited and proud of my girls! We were not expecting eggs for another month at least! I guess they are happy chickens!

This IS their coop! They have spent the last few days there with the heat lamp! I am out there many times a day just hanging out with them! I never understood "free-ranging" because I couldn't imagine them not running away, but the other day I got brave and let them out while I was doing yard...
The big girls spent most of the day in their coop and run today. They learned to go up the ramp to the roost and love being up there looking out the window! Tomorrow we need ti finish scooping sand in the run and I think the big girls may spend tomorrow night there with the heat lamp.
