About a year and a half ago we ordered some chicks from a hatchery (EE's and Golden Laced Wyandottes), and all of the chicks died after they had feathered out and were put outside. The chickens had crusted over eyes and were going limp and died soon after. We had chickens on our land prior too...
I have a FF Nigerian Dwarf goat due to kid soon she has lost her mucus plug (her ligaments are also gone) but has no udder to speak of! I was wondering how fast a goats udder can actually fill before kidding, and has this happend to any one else?
I really am not sure myself but that is what most people do I guess...that's one of the ways I gathered you can tell from other forums and goat sites. This will be our first kidding here but I wanted to see what others thought.
Thank you poultrypower! :)
I have two 10x10 kennels together and made on colony type set up for them. Our soil here in southeastern nc is pretty sandy, so the floor is mostly sandy with some grass and weeds. I love rabbits they are so easy to care for and so sweet! :)
I raise Standard American Chinchillas, they are big and beautiful dual purpose rabbits. They are listed as critical on The American Livestock Conservancy site. Here are my Buns :)
I had my Doe and Buck together from September through October, I have not witnessed them do the deed but I think she may in fact be bred because I have not noticed her coming back into heat, and they don't seem to be interested in eachother. Can you tell from these pics if she is bred? If she is...
I just wanted to give an update, she made it through the night and did wonderfully today...back to her normal hen self..we are so happy she is still with us! :)
