Hello, I haven't been on here in forever, but I boiled chicken and duck eggs this morning to make deviled eggs, and when I cut one of the duck eggs in half, I saw a blood spot and what looks like the chalaza? I have never seen the chalaza in a deviled egg before, and it kind of grossed me out...
I am curious, which do you prefer. If you want to reply with what breeds you have or to explain your answer fuller that is fine. :)
Edited to say: I have mostly standard chickens, but have four bantams. One mille fleur booted bantam and three OEGB roosters. I am curious to see the bantam...
At the moment, I like the old BYC better. It was easier to navigate through, the fonts and post titles were larger, and I liked the auction section. In time I hope I start to like the newer style better. Never the less I appreciate the work of the moderators.
It has not snowed *that* much here, only a couple of days when we have had a dusting. But it has gotten cold. Here is a picture of the trees when they get icy.
