    food is avaliable all day for mine, they get scraps in the morning then freerange for the whole day:)

    a hawk probably wouldnt go inside a hen house but if the hens were scattered everywhere when you get home this could be it. I had a huge problem with hawks with chickens missing and such so i have orchard netting all across my pens.

    Welcome to the club! Just letting ya know we all started small and how out flocks have grown! i hav over 30 chickens in which i breed rare ones too. Love your breeds too very good egg layers. :)
