2 years ago I was gifted 25 mutt chickens of which 20 turned out to be roosters so I ended up with 5 hens in the end. About 3 months ago one of them became broody and ever since we've gotten 1 to 2 eggs per day. We made the decision to re-home them with a wonderful family who have roosters...
Thanks for the shower with a door recommendation. That's perfect for my 5 hens, temporarily. I've got 3 huge dogs and 2 of them have severe anxiety so their crates won't be available. You just solved my problem.
Great job! Only advice, other than what's already been suggested is to place a roosting bar higher up. Mine all like to huddle together on the highest of 3 bars.
The only experience I've had with Guineas was with my neighbors. They lacked the ability to learn and would constantly fly over the fence into my property. They'd run the fence line squawking for hours unable to figure out how to get back over the fence, until sundown, then they'd miraculously...
@Chickenchic49 Welcome to BYC, and Hurricane Central, LOL. I'd say the first priority is to make sure that you have a predator proof coop and run, because everything loves chicken, not just us. There are plenty of good ideas on this site, but the key is to have any open areas covered in 1/4"...
