What to do with hens for hurricane?

In the area I live yes there is. I will be transporting them inland with me and they will be in our garage. I have puppy pee pads to put in the crates and change out and plenty of food and water for them as well. Thank you all for the advice!

We always just brought them in the house in whatever cages or very large cardboard boxes we had. We laid plastic down on the floor and put the cages on top of that, in the living room. Newspapers changed often for the droppings. If your bathtub has a shower door you could keep them in there. Even a small room or closet with plastic sheeting on the floor will do for a short time. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the shower with a door recommendation. That's perfect for my 5 hens, temporarily. I've got 3 huge dogs and 2 of them have severe anxiety so their crates won't be available. You just solved my problem.
