I don't have pics of his navel, but the backstory- a goose stepped on his egg while hatching, and the egg was bleeding. I found it, took it inside, and put it in my incubator. 24 hours later he was cemented to the egg/membrane.... I felt like I had nothing to lose if i tried, so using warm...
Hey all,
I've got a 2 week old African x Chinese gosling that had a yolk sac that wasn't completely absorbed when hatched. I took it to our avian vet today and was told there's an infection brewing. So vet said to do 5 days of oral Clavamox .50 cc 2 times a day. I attempted to give the 1st dose...
Update on my two Chinese from the original thread: They are both females, so we got a Chinese x African gander. Everyone is settled in and doing great. We hatched our first egg last week from this group. They are a quirky breed, but we love them.

I have issues every spring/summer with young chicks that have Corid resistant coccidia. I order and give them Endocox.... and that works, but I'd rather avoid it if i could. I've talked to vets...
Hi everyone. :-) I'm going to be that person asking what color my roos are.
I want to aim for a Silver Penciled, single combed, Naked Neck (NN) in my long term breeding (for fun, my own birds)..... I have a handle on what I'm looking for type-wise and genetics around getting the NN gene...
My post was from last month, so not too long ago.😊That's awesome that you've known some personable ones. My two Chinese have settled in, but really don't seek out human attention. I got another free goose a week later, that was supposed to be a white African female, and he's definitely a gander...
