I'm so happy to see this. It gives me some hope for the battle I have in my small rural town. I wish I knew why we got so far away from the garden in our backyard with some chickens roaming around!
I live in a rural area in Colorado. If there are 800 people in this town that would be a high number. And guess what - we are NOT allowed to have chickens. Most people here have quarter acre lots. Plenty of room. Being the renegade I am - I have 4 chickens anyway. I've had them since February...
So my 4 year old was letting our chicks eat out of her hand. When I turned to do the wash - she decided to sprinkle them all with their food.
Should I give the chicks a bath?
And how do I do that?
Thanks!
I totally want to do this. I've been doing a video journey on youtube! It's fun and hopefully encourages others to try backyard chickens and gardening!
Thanks for the welcome - I think you are right, finding a chicken friendly area is the way to go since we are just renting now! The main goal is to be self sustaining as possible.
Hi Everyone,
I don't have chickens - but I want them. So I figured this is a great place to learn all I can before I take the plunge. I am in a rental and the HOA says no chickens - so we will see what the future holds for my backyard chicken goals
